7 of the Best Exercises to Try at Home

Especially for people new to fitness or dabbling with the idea, knowing where to start can be a challenge. In this blog I’m going to outline 7 of my favorite at home moves to burn calories and build muscle. The best part? No equipment necessary, just that capable body of yours!

If you’ve been around a while, you know that I am a huge fan of HIIT training, so my favorite way to perform these movements would be in a circuit. This means completing all 5 exercises back to back with little rest, and then resting for a minute between rounds. I challenge you to complete as many rounds as possible (AMRAP) in a given amount of time, whether it be 5, 10, 20, 30 minutes. Keep score with yourself and try to improve!

These movements utilize time under tension, explosive cardio, and natural resistance. You get the cardio benefit, as well as the strength training benefit without expensive equipment or hours per day. Completing 20-30 minutes of this is a full workout and will leave your body burning calories for hours (and in some cases DAYS) to come.
